2001 –Humble Beginnings
KenEpResources was founded in Ipoh, Perak, with fewer than five employees. Operating from a small rented office and workshop, the company began offering specialized services in wastewater treatment, DI water systems, and air scrubber systemsto industries such as Electronics,
Gloves, and Plating.
2002 –Building the Foundation
The company began expanding its capabilities by forming a technical teamto support its growing portfolio. This included:

2005 –Expanding to Kuala Lumpur & Selangor
KenEpResources launched operations in Kuala Lumpur & Selangorwith a service contract to operate a wastewater treatment plant, supported by one engineer and four technicians. This marked the company’s first major expansion beyond Ipoh.
2009 –Strengthening Expertise
KenEpResources established an in-house laboratory to perform wastewater analysis, further strengthening its technical capabilities and expanding its service offerings to local clients.
2010 –Environmental Assessment Expertise
The company took a major step forward by setting up its own Environmental Assessment team, specializing in providing comprehensive environmental reports to the
Department of Environment(DOE). This helped enhance the company’s standing as an industry leader in environmental consultancy.
2011 –Achievements in Quality & Compliance
KenEpResources achieved ISO 9001:2008 certificationfor its Quality Management Systemby SIRIM. In the same year, KenEp personnel were registered as independent EIA consultants, enabling the company to submit Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)directly to the Department of Environment (DOE).
2012 –Laboratory Accreditation
KenEp’slaboratory received accreditation from Skim AkreditasiMakmalMalaysia (SAMM), under the Department of Standards Malaysia. The laboratory was authorized to conduct water & air analysis for environmental sectors. By 2013, KenEp’s laboratory had expanded into a fully independent, SAMM accreditedentity, further solidifying its industry credibility.
2013 –Expansion to Penang
KenEpResources extended its operations to Penang, beginning service contracts for electronics factoriesand further expanding its wastewater and DI water treatment services. By 2014, the company had opened a dedicated factory office with a workshop in the region, increasing its local footprint.
2025 –Today: A Strong & Diverse Team
Now in its 24th year, KenEpResources & Group has grown into a leader in environmental engineering, consultancy, and water & air treatment solutions. The company’s team comprises over 100 personnel’s with diverse expertise, including:
- Professional Engineersspecializing in environmental design, assessments, and regulatory submissions
- Competent Persons for conducting environmental audits, recognized by regulatory authorities
- Registered Chemists, acknowledged by the Malaysia Chemistry Department
- A fully accredited SAMM Laboratory for environmental water analysis
- DOSH-registered Occupational Safety and Health personnel
- Engineers registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia
The company has Ion Exchange Regeneration Plantslocated in Perak, Selangor, Penang, and Johor, and a Sales and Service Office in Kelantan. KenEpResources & Group continues to lead the industry in environmental solutions, with a turnover exceeding RM 50 millions and a reputation for excellence in Environmental assessments, wastewater management, DI water treatment, and air scrubber systems
We also registered with aSPAN license and holds a CIDB Grade 7 certification, further solidifying its position as a trusted industry leader.
